IN BRIEF

We have flexible daily departure times (5 – 6 hour duration) which are subject to sea conditions that we check daily for a better experience.

Each low-impact reef snorkel tour is designed with the following steps:

• Turtlehead Rock Beach or Pier Beach: Soak up and relax in the emerald water at a natural beach for safety guides and necessary attention
• Half-moon Reef (2m – 8m) or Phu Quoc North-East Coral Reef (1-9m) and other hidden spots (subject to the water conditions): Explore soft corals, hard corals, anemone with a wide depth range where for experienced guests try skin diving
• Crystal Reef (0.5 – 3m): Explore the Phu Quoc’s largest Cactus Coral Colony (Coral Mountain) and Coral Hill
• Relaxing island (without noisy atmosphere): Relax at a beach chair, under coconut trees at a Beach Bar with fruit juice and fruit served 

(Please note: In the summer time from May to October, the snorkeling & diving spots are subject to the water conditions as we always track to advise guests of the sites in advance,

The departure time will be notified upon confirmation, contingent on the daily water conditions monitored and forecasted by OnBird.

IN DETAIL

☑️ Depart from Duong Dong town and head to the speedboat located at An Thoi Port.

You’ll be picked up at your hotel and then transferred by A/C car to the port for embarkation.

☑️ Leave the harbor and board the speedboat for Turtlehead Rock Beach

A designated relaxation area for acclimatizing to the water, provision of snorkeling gear, a thorough briefing on safety guidelines, and an introduction to subsequent snorkeling locations in detail await you. This segment typically spans 30 to 40 minutes before proceeding to the following two snorkeling sites.

☑️ Phu Quoc Half-moon Reef or North-east Coral Reef

OnBird compiles data on coral reefs and water conditions in Phu Quoc. This information enables us to generate highly accurate forecasts in advance, facilitating adjustments to itineraries and schedules for guests to explore the premier locations in South Phu Quoc.

• The Phu Quoc Half-moon Reef presents an excellent opportunity for enthusiasts of free-diving or snorkeling to discover a diverse array of marine life, including the clownfish garden, the largest coral formation in Phu Quoc, as well as captivating coral walls and canyons.
• The Northeast Coral Reef stands out as one of the most biodiverse coral reefs in South Phu Quoc, boasting over 22 distinct coral species as documented by OnBird Phu Quoc.

☑️ Continue to head for Coral Mountain – Coral Hill 

The Coral Mountain represents Phu Quoc’s most extensive Cactus Coral (Pavona) colony, spanning an area of approximately 200 to 300 square meters.

The Coral Hill constitutes Phu Quoc’s second-largest flowerpot coral colony.

Recharge your energy after snorkeling on a serene island with fresh fruits and juices. Whether strolling along the beach or reclining in a beach chair, gazing out at the azure sea, unwind with a refreshing beverage, be it fruit juice or a chilled beer.

• Payment by Credit Card (Visa, Master, JCB…)
  We connect with OnePAY Payment Gateway to accept Online Card Payments (www.onepay.vn) as well as other high-security Payment gateways. All of your card information is processed through SSL protocol with international card security standards. Your card information will not be stored in our system (merchant) or Payment Gateway Servers (even safer than OTAs that are storing your card information)

• Cash payments
  Cash payments can be made for the final amount directly to the OnBird Office or the in-charge staff upon arrival, thereby avoiding additional fees.

Cancellation Policy

a. Cancellation initiated by the guest.

• If a cancellation occurs more than 03 days before the departure date, a full refund will be issued at no charge.
• If a cancellation occurs within 02 days of the departure date, the deposit is non-refundable, or a 50% cancellation fee may be applied, depending on the circumstances.
• If a cancellation occurs within 01 day of the departure date, as well as no-shows, will incur a 100% cancellation fee, with no refund available.

b. Cancellation initiated by OnBird

• Bad sea/weather conditions: To address adverse sea and weather conditions for forward open-water experience, OnBird has developed an advanced forecasting system that predicts wave levels, wave directions, tide levels, and currents. This system enables us to assess weather and water conditions 8 to 12 days prior to the scheduled tour date, ensuring both safety management and an optimized experience. You will get a full refund, on top of that, you know the cancellation possibility few days prior to the tour date. Thereby, if any bad weather/sea conditions occur, please understand that OnBird knows about it and will inform you 3 – 7 days in advance for you to prepare sub-plans. 
  In the event of unfavorable weather or sea conditions, please be assured that OnBird will notify you 3 to 7 days in advance, allowing you to make alternative plans. Should a cancellation be necessary, you will receive a full refund, and you will be informed of the cancellation possibility well before the tour date.

• Minimum Participant Number: Each tour requires a minimum number of participants to proceed. If the necessary minimum is not met, OnBird will cancel the tour and notify you in advance. In such cases, you will receive a full refund.

OnBird Phu Quoc retains the right to cancel or modify any bookings in response to adverse weather and tide conditions, insufficient participant numbers, inappropriate physical capabilities of participants, or any other unforeseen circumstances.

3. Why Lunch Isn’t Included—and Why That Matters

This snorkeling experience is thoughtfully designed with both guest comfort and marine conservation in mind. A full cooked lunch is not necessary for this half-day tour, and here’s why:

• Protecting Marine Life:
  We do not recommend having cooked meals on small islands in South Phu Quoc, as they often result in wastewater discharge that can harm the delicate coral reef ecosystems. To minimize our environmental footprint, we provide light refreshments, including fresh fruit, juice, and snacks—sufficient to keep you energized without negatively impacting the marine environment.

• Time Efficiency for a Better Experience:
  By skipping a sit-down lunch, we allocate more time for what matters most—snorkeling and discovering pristine coral reefs in optimal conditions.

• Sustainable Dining Options:
  For guests who prefer a meal, OnBird offers optional low-impact meal & snorkeling arrangements. However, we encourage choosing the no-on-island-meal option to further support reef preservation efforts.

• Flexible Departure Times Based on Water Conditions:
  Our tour does not follow a fixed departure schedule. Instead, we adjust the timing daily based on real-time sea condition forecasts to ensure the best snorkeling experience. This makes conventional lunch scheduling impractical, and our focus remains on delivering the most vibrant and eco-responsible coral discovery tour possible.

4. Can I Combine the Snorkeling Tour and the Cable Car Ride in One Day?

At OnBird, we prioritize the quality of your experience. That’s why we don’t recommend combining too many activities into a single tour, as it can lead to wasted time, unnecessary expenses, and an overall diluted experience.

For example, while the Phu Quoc cable car offers a scenic sea-crossing ride, the ticket also includes access to the water park and theme park—both of which require several hours to fully enjoy. Trying to squeeze this into the same day as a snorkeling tour can leave you tired and unable to fully appreciate either experience. For this reason, OnBird recommends planning your snorkeling trip and cable car visit on separate days.

However, if you still wish to take the cable car, there’s no need to book a separate tour. OnBird offers pickup and drop-off at Hon Thom (the cable car station), allowing you to enjoy the ride at your own pace. Our speedboat will pick you up or drop you off at Hon Thom so you can seamlessly join our discovery snorkeling tour.

For guests staying in Sunset Town, the cable car station is especially convenient—making it easy to include in your itinerary without needing a full-day tour package.
