On World Tourism Day 2025 (September 27), UN Tourism announced the global theme:“Tourism and Sustainable Transformation: Inclusive – Resilient – Regenerative.”
For OnBird Phu Quoc, these are not just three words. They embody a holistic vision we strive to bring to life in every single journey we design.
Inclusive means opening the door to everyone – from families with young children to elderly travelers, and to the very local communities who have lived with and cared for the sea for generations. Every experience we craft is designed so that guests feel safe, comfortable, and enriched with knowledge, rather than seeing travel as just another service.

Resilience is reflected in the way we adapt to change. The ocean shifts daily, and tourism faces its own challenges – from unpredictable weather to global disruptions. That is why OnBird has chosen to operate in small groups, with flexible, safe itineraries that not only ensure an authentic experience but also safeguard the long-term vitality of both destination and team.
Above all, regeneration is the aspiration that drives us each day. We believe sustainable tourism should go beyond minimizing harm; it must leave nature and communities better than before.
For OnBird, this is our chosen mission: to stand alongside the ocean and help nurture life. Each trip is not just an exploration, but also a promise to the sea – that humans and nature can learn from each other, can feel the fragility of coral reef ecosystems, and together recognize the importance of restoration.
As we move into Q4 2025 and throughout 2026, we will continue to launch new initiatives that extend this journey. There is no fixed endpoint; this is a long-term commitment where today’s small seeds will grow into thriving reefs and a flourishing marine ecosystem for the future.

A Sustainable Journey That Starts Within
Our commitment does not stop at sea. It is nurtured every day from within our team. In Q3 2025, OnBird organized a meaningful series of internal workshops: cross-departmental training to improve collaboration, the OnBird Story Sharing – “Phu Quoc, My Fortunate Bond” program for team members to reflect on their own journeys with the island, advanced first-aid courses, and professional guiding skills for our newest recruits.
A major highlight was the team-building event on October 9, marking a new chapter in OnBird’s development — a more youthful, connected, and energetic collective. This event also launched an internal direction aligned with our broader vision for the future of sustainable marine tourism: “Regeneration is The Future”
Guided by this principle, OnBird will continue to strengthen internal knowledge and hands-on expertise, building a solid foundation from within. Each activity represents a steady step toward cultivating an inclusive environment — where every team member has the opportunity to learn, grow, and contribute unique value. At the same time, it is how OnBird nurtures a resilient spirit — empowering our team to adapt to challenges, from shifting weather conditions to the high standards of safety and service quality we uphold.

More importantly, the regenerative spirit is not confined to offshore projects; it lives within the very hands of our team members. Through simple yet meaningful actions — reef cleaning and coral planting — they have become active participants in the revival of Phu Quoc’s marine ecosystems.
Since May 2025, OnBird has collaborated with marine biologists to launch the Coral Nursery Project in southern Phu Quoc. Focusing on reef-building coral species, our team collected coral fragments from degraded reefs to nurture and grow within the nursery.
To date, nine nursery tables have been established, hosting six main coral species and thousands of coral fragments under cultivation. Using the micro-fragmentation technique, and after five months of careful monitoring, the nursery has achieved over 90% survival rate, with corals showing strong growth and firm attachment to substrates. Increasing numbers of reef fish have also returned — a promising indicator of nature’s resilient recovery.
Building on these results, OnBird has officially launched Phase 1 of the Reef Regeneration Project in Phu Quoc. On October 22–23, five coral species from the nursery that reached optimal size were transplanted into degraded reef areas at Coral Jungle Reef, covering approximately 100 square meters. Over 100 coral fragments were successfully planted, and our team will continue to monitor and record their progress. The selected reef-building corals — Acropora pulchra, Acropora rosaria, and Pocillopora damicornis — are expected to grow rapidly, up to 20–30 cm per year, soon restoring life across damaged reef zones and contributing to the recovery of Phu Quoc’s vibrant marine ecosystem.
Through the “Book Direct” campaign, OnBird also kindly invites you to take part — where every sustainable snorkeling experience contributes meaningfully to the regenerative future of Phu Quoc’s oceans.

OnBird Phu Quoc – A Sustainable Journey From the Sea
Choosing OnBird means more than joining a snorkeling tour. Behind every trip lies a philosophy: travel should be a bridge that harmonizes people, communities, and nature.
We believe a truly meaningful journey is not measured by the number of visitors, but by the depth of experience and the values that remain long after the trip ends. That is why we design intimate tours that avoid overcrowding and minimize human impact, giving travelers the chance to connect deeply with the sea while protecting fragile ecosystems.

This philosophy is distilled into our three core commitments: deep exploration, where every journey is authentic and unique; conservation at the root, because every activity only has meaning when nature is respected; and finally, regeneration for the future, where resources are reinvested into marine restoration so that coral reefs and oceans can thrive once again.
In this way, OnBird Phu Quoc is not simply a tour operator. We are companions on a journey to shape a sustainable future – where every trip becomes a seed planted into the blue ocean.
And this journey is still growing.
