This effort follows five months of coral nursery development of Coral Garden in the South of Phu Quoc, where nine nursery tables now nurture hundreds of coral fragments ready to restore damaged reefs. Once among Phu Quoc’s healthiest reefs, Coral Jungle Reef lost nearly 90% of its coral cover during the 2024 global ocean heatwave. Yet its resilient fringing-reef structure endures—proof that recovery is possible when science meets care.
