Disadvantage: Located deep in the Ong Doi Cape so it’s inconvenient to find an entertaining place, far from the medical center in Phu Quoc

- Located on Khem Beach which is considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Vietnam (even though not all room has beach view)
- The average price of around 2,000,000 VND/room/night it’s also suitable for couples/ medium-budget families with kids as well.
For Couples (luxury)
JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay resort & Spa
Advantage:
- Ideal to spend a whole rainy day as there are different facilities including a fitness center and spa, bar, outdoor swimming pool with a poolside bar, and a private beach
- Unique architecture which was designed by famous architect Bill Bensley based on the idea of a fictional university in the 19th century.
- Located on Khem Beach which is considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Vietnam.
Disadvantage: High cost as it’s kind of luxury standard, the price of the standard room type is twice as much as the price of the highest room type which is for a couple in Premier Residences then basically you can choose Premier Residences Phu Quoc Emerald Bay Managed by Accor, Khem Beach if it fits your budget.
Side note: Outside guests can also access some parts of the resort for a drink and feel free to take a tour to visit the buildings of JW.
CAY SAO BEACH – EAST COAST PHU QUOC
more suitable for couples who want to hide away the center, not really an ideal stay for families
In a comprehensive guide to 16 beaches in Phu Quoc, we mentioned about the The East coast of Phu Quoc being considered undeveloped. Cay Sao beach area has a character and lazy charm reminiscent of ‘old Phu Quoc last 10 years, which seems to attract a lot of Westerners.
Riding along the main road in Cay Sao Beach area, you can see a lot of accommodation options which are either newly built since COVID -19 or long standing property which gains fabulous reputation by international travellers before 2019, such as The Pier Phu Quoc resort, Jade Mountain Villas, Cay Sao Beach, Lotus Home, Mango Beach Resort (different from Mango Bay resort in Ong Lang beach),…

The Pier Phu Quoc Resort
Advantage:
- Suitable for those who prefer privately spaces and fully indulge in the nature with the harmony of both the tranquil sea and the forest
Facilities including restaurant, coffee shop, bar, BBQ facilities and swimming pool - Incredible sunrise around 5:30 above the water, view from your villas as well
- The view is totally different from other parts of the island, which are green hills, a silvery white color of shallow Thom beach and the horizon merging into one, evoking an extremely peaceful feeling.
Disadvantage:
- Too far from the center, there are just mountains and forests on the opposite side (National Park)
- Located on Cay Sao Beach which is not suitable for swimming
Mango Beach Resort
Advantage:
- Suitable for those who love nature, peaceful landscapes
- Facilities including restaurant, coffee shop, bar, BBQ facilities and swimming pool
Disadvantage:
- Too far from the center, there are just mountains and forests on the opposite side (National Park)
- Located on Cay Sao Beach which is not suitable for swimming
Rocks Beach Boutique Bungalows
Advantage:
- Suitable for those who love nature with 26 spacious thatched rooms, carefully designed to harmonize with the outstanding natural beauty of east coast of Phu Quoc.
- The perfect place for a romantic getaway
- Facilities including restaurant, coffee shop, bar, BBQ facilities and swimming pool
- Biking and kayaking available
Disadvantage:
- Too far from the center, there are just mountains and forests on the opposite side (National Park)
- Located on Cay Sao Beach which is not suitable for swimming as the sea is very shallow
- People praise this resort as “Maldives” of Vietnam but we’re unsure it’s worth, there are some cons that the trained eye might able to see which are quite different with what are advertised
