Phu Quoc Coral Mountain is basically a large clump of Cactus Coral (Pavona Coral) that has been growing in Crystal Reef with a lot of massive and table corals surrounded. They’ve been vastly developed in a shape of the undersea mountains, that’s why we named it Phu Quoc Undersea Coral Mountain.
Other species can be found here including: Christmas tree worms, massive coral, butterfly fish, etc.
☑️ 15:30: Head for the second snorkeling spot: Coral Steep or North-east Coral Reef (Medium-depth snorkeling)
Named the coral city, the Northeast coral reef is one of the most beautiful coral reefs in Phu Quoc, Vietnam. Located 16 Km from the south of Phu Quoc Island, the Northeastern Reef is one of the most difficult to access coral reefs in Phu Quoc in a year due to its geographical position, which is frequently influenced by currents and winds. Wave season should be closely watched for new water conditions to determine a safe time frame to reach the reef. With a depth of 1 – 8m along with a high species diversity from hard corals and soft corals, as observed by OnBird, there are about 18 different species of coral, creating a diverse coral population that looks like a miniature coral city.
Coral Steep is a small coral field with many different coral species, we find there many cauliflower with violet colors.
